Concert amazing, parking an issue
I absolutely love this venue, having been there before. Part of my excitement for this concert was due to the venue. I love that you can picnic in the warm air while enjoying your favorite band and bring food in. I still feel the same way. The staff inside was extremely helpful. The first usher walked us all the way to our row since we couldn't find our seats, as we couldn't see any markings. Another staff member, upon our request for help, used his flashlight to direct us straight to our seats instead of sending us in the general direction. They were very friendly, available, and helpful, guiding us through. However, the parking really was a bummer because it caused us to miss all of Nightranger and all but two songs of Foreigner. I knew we would arrive just on time or late as I was coming from class, so I was prepared for that. We arrived at 7, saw the permit only lots, and were directed straight ahead. This led us into a traffic jam a mile up the road and a traffic jam back down the freeway. We sought help from security at the Kodak theater, who kindly directed us to park and we walked up the hill. I was grateful to park at the Kodak theater and had no issue with the walk up the hill. However, I was frustrated because, although I expected to miss a few minutes of the concert, I ended up missing two-thirds of it. This was simply because I was waved past the parking without any direction or signage on where to park. There's nowhere to go but into a nasty line of cars. I believe that if there were signs or staff directing people to the Kodak theater, I would have been able to see the full evening I paid for.
